I've been wanting to start a sketchbook here for quite a while now. I've been trying to improve my art but I can't afford to go to art school (Coz I'm broke and living with my parents) so I figure why not be active in forums like this one. I mean there are a lot of good teachers in art school but there are also a lot good teachers out there who are willing to share bits of what they know (and I do appreciate that). Hopefully I'd be good enough to land some decent freelance gigs and get my broke *ss into gear... but yes I'm still hoping... So without further ado, here are my recent studies and sketches... feel free to leave comments and constructive critiques.

Hello Arkoon ! It is good to see you posting here!
Let me provide you with some helpful info If you want o post pictures you first have to upload them in your personal album or submit them to one of the public albums You can create a personal album in your user control panel in the gallery tab: ucp.php Here is a link to the gallery where you will find the public albums: gallery/index.php
After uploading the images you can post them using the Image BBCodes that are displayed under the Images in your gallery pages. Posting the first code with [IMG] tags will show the image in big and the second code will show a thumbnail.
The Forum will automatically assign the first attached image or the first image posted with [IMG] tags as your topic thumbnail. If you get lost or need help understanding the features please visit here: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=45
Hey man! Your stuff is very professional already. I'd bet if you made about 12 really polished pieces you could land some decent work. The stuff you're showing here is either sketches or study work; try putting together a few finished illustrations or concepts (whatever you're shooting for) to see where you need to improve there.

Great stuff!
Thanks NickTrip! I'm flattered that you see my stuff very professional that's a really huge compliment . But for the life of me I don't even now why I don't see my level of work as professional. It's just been over a year since I started digital painting and I feel that I still need a more solid foundation when comes to painting. Traditionally, my painting skills are mediocre and I still have a hard time approaching colors. But I've been sketching with pencils since I can remember so I think I have a decent foundation when it comes to that.So far I've only applied what I've learned from searching through different forums and looking at different tutorials (which have been really helpful improving my work). Anyway thanks for checking out my stuff

Thanks Chrysley I'll definitely be posting more.
Here's some recent stuff.
Took me almost a day to do this study (which is really ridiculous because I was being to meticulous about getting the exact likeness) I got frustrated but still pushed through.I still suck at making faces and hair need to do more studies. Oh well that means more frustration sigh
These 2 were done last year but wasn't finished because I thought I lost the file. And recently I found these files while I was browsing some files in my netbook. Just thought I might share these.
