Damouse's quicks and sketches

Postby KITCHEN BOT :: » 03 Feb 2011, 21:35

Hello damouse !
It is good to see you posting here!
:14:

Let me provide you with some helpful info
If you want o post pictures you first have to upload them in your personal album or submit them to one of the public albums
You can create a personal album in your user control panel in the gallery tab: ucp.php
Here is a link to the gallery where you will find the public albums: gallery/index.php

After uploading the images you can post them using the Image BBCodes that are displayed under the Images in your gallery pages. Posting the first code with [IMG] tags will show the image in big and the second code will show a thumbnail.

The Forum will automatically assign the first attached image or the first image posted with [IMG] tags as your topic thumbnail.
If you get lost or need help understanding the features please visit here: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=45

Have fun posting!

Two things:
- her right hand bothers me a bit, I think it's because the fingers are too short and to large
- the perspective for the staff is too strong. It drives away the eye from her face which should be the focal point. Try to reduce the perspective a bit.

The hand looks a bit odd and a bit dirty :24:

Also the the "bra"? to our left isnt filled, and looks odd.

yeah it's kida. that's also why it looks like she has man hands, I was trying to bring some of the chunkiness from the style with it.

I'll admit I'm putting off painting it because that aspect is scaring me a bit defining that chunkiness in the form.

ta for that, I really need that critical I eye. I knew the hand was all off, but I was totally looking past the staff.

I thought the sketchbook would link in a bit more than it does, live and learn, here are some more initial intro sketches as a sort of intro, this is my brain:

this is for lunedar's study activity over [url=http://wecookart.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=524] here{/url]

it took two and a bit hours and that texture was far trickier than I had anticipated.
