it seems I have been working on a bad saturated screen. Really don't know how to get it fixed. :/

I've started with a new series of recorded speed paints.
Some students started a daily speedpaint group which I've been
allowed to join. I'm recording them so I can see what I could
improve.

At last, the new imac has been released and I'm about to order one, which will cancel out the bad screen problems. Also within 2 months school has been finished and I will be able to
draw again. Currently we're to busy animating and making our 3D model so I don't really have any spare time.

At least a fast one of last week, I've spend 20times as long on rendering it out then the actual painting did.

time: 30minutes:
composing and figuring out what the image was shaking completely: 20hours.

Hye again,

thnx sweron!

I had the luck that I could spend a full day on this matte painting.

I've learned a lot from this by simply painting it, still need to import
it into fusion, and animate a character into the scene.
But from what I've researched there should be a lot more 3D in it to make it believable.
I'll be adding particles and glows for fire in the picture, as well as some other things
to make the matte paint live

Shame again there won't be enough time, but it is deffinatly a thing I would prefer to again.

Heya buddy, you stopped by my sketchbook with some kind words a little while ago. Sorry I haven't been online much, school has kept me very busy - but we're down to our last two days so I have some time I can waste. ;)

I'm digging the sketches and the pencil-like line you're getting digitally. I've always dug contour drawings, they have this nice feeling to them. Not sure how to explain it.

Anyway, for your studies I'd suggest trying to draw "through" your figure more. Really dig in there and find the interlocking shapes that make up the human body! Boxy, geometric forms that really break down the planes of the body's structure (and understructure!), emphasize the types of shadows and reflected light that would be found. I think the best explanation of these forms comes from Bridgman - especially when you get to the ever-vexing forearm planes!

Anyway keep it up, just make sure you really thoroughly study the body. Not just another drawing, but an... exploration! :30:
