It's the week of Halloween, wuuhuu! But more importantly, I've been promoted to the rank of a moderator (it took a hell of a lot of :29:

to get there). So to celebrate that, I'm holding the first of many challenge events. So what is the challenge?

It's simple: You have one week to paint an image of a pumpkin. Not just any one pumpkin, though. You paint from reference photos provided by me. The next step is to take your painted pumpkin and make it look like it's been carved. The third and final step is to turn it into a night painting with the carved parts glowing. You must save each step as a seperate image and post it in this thread.
Easy, right?

1.Choose one of the following photos as your reference:

1 2 3 4 5 6
- you can alter the location, background
- you can add decoration, like sweets or candles

2. paint in the carved parts.

3. Make it look like as though it were night. Don't just black out everything. The carved parts must glow.

You must post all three of your images in a single post in this thread and link to the reference photo you used.

Deadline: October 31st, 2010. 12:00 a.m., GMT

Prizes:
1st prize
- gold trophy item
- 1000 cash points

- 500 cash points

I like the idea of this, though I is the busy at the moment... working and I have a Halloween wedding to go to... Though I may well try and get this done quickly on a day off this week
