----- Welcome to the world of Inkblade ----- Inkblade is an Art RPG, the first of its kind. In this activity, you will play with other members, team up with them, form clans, travel the world, fight epic battles in epic environments, everything you usually do in any RPG. What is different here is that there is no die, no statistics, no automated system to rule the actions: you will use your own art as way to rule everything. No specific art level required, you are here to have fun, to make progress and to get help and feedback to bring your art to its best. The world of Inkblade is based on a fantasy setting, but YOU will shape it as YOU will paint it, so it has no limit but what you can imagine. Creatures, characters, cities, locations, items, whatever you will find in this world will be something one of you created. It will evolve and get richer with time for you will constantly add your share to this big project, and it will be in some way partly yours. As you may have noticed, this activity is still in the development phase. Yes! Whatever is your art level, this activity purpose is to help those who want to make progress. The system is not based on the level of the art you produce so you will not be at a disadvantage. :: So how does the system work? The Inkblade system is based on a community vote. When some interesting event is about to occur in the story, your game-master will set up a topic to depict and a deadline to meet (for example, it can be whether a fight against a Troll is won or not, and how it happens). During this period, you will post you work-in-progress of your take on the outcome of this event and get feedbacks and critics to help you make the best art piece possible. Of course, if you feel like it you are very welcome to help others as well. At the end of the deadline, your game-master will set up a poll for the community. The community will vote for the entry it likes the most: it can be because it's epic or because it's fun, but also because you worked your ass off and you deserve to win, whatever the members decide. The winning entry will be the outcome of the event. :: So I will have commitment? No! We all know life doesn't let us do whatever we want, so you will never be forced to paint. You are here because you want to make progress and because you want to paint. The only thing is you won't have any way to act in crucial events if you never paint them, that's all. :: Who are the game-masters? The game-masters have not been appointed yet. We are not yet at the stage of setting up the teams and writing the story. :: Who approve the various submissions for the world development? The moderators and the administrator are the ones in charge of the world development and every submission will be submitted to their approval to ensure it meets the required level of details and fits the Inkblade world. If you want to be part of the world development, we greatly encourage you to post your work-in-progress in the appropriate thread to get help and feedbacks so that your final piece have much more chance to be approved. :: I have a question...
