You are an art machine!
how do you feel about your progress so far, and what got you motivated to start pumping out studies?

Tnx to both :)

Mugshotpro - I started taking very small steps, drawing only a finger or a nose, apples, whatnot. If the missions was too big, I'd make it easier for myself, doing only the nail, or only the stem of an apple for example.
I would often very quickly get overwhelmed by my lack of understanding of the visual language, doing these small baby steps helped allot to get me going. It wasn't an issue of motivation for me but trying to reduce the immense frustration and demotivation.
Keeping things easy for myself really helped, and I figured as long as I would study from life I would eventually understand it.

Progress is very slow and I still often feel very clumsy, but I notice that I am starting to see light at the end of the tunnel now, and that keeps me doing more and more, digging deeper and deeper.
I have a long long way to go, and recognizing this fact I stop myself from trying to make nice pieces, but just keeping things enjoyably small and playful, trying to understand this massively complex language with very small steps.

In short, keeping things simple and fun for myself, switching to another topic, activity or simply taking a break when frustration makes me wanna shoot myself, and recognizing I know nothing, I am a tiny baby in a vast kindergarten full of knowledge.
Hope that helps.
